Custom Order Engineer responsible for creating precise drawings, selecting materials, and providing production engineering support using CAD, SolidWorks, and FEA to ensure high‑quality manufacturing of custom components.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed CAD drawings and technical specifications for custom orders.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to select appropriate materials and processes, ensuring cost‑effective and reliable production.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity and optimize performance.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues, schedule production, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Document and update engineering change orders, ensuring traceability and compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience with FEA and manufacturing process selection.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
