Develop and optimize underfoot cushioning systems, applying materials science, mechanical engineering, CAD design, and testing to create high‑performance athletic footwear.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and validate cushioning components for athletic footwear using CAD tools.
- Conduct material selection, testing, and performance analysis to meet durability and comfort targets.
- Perform finite element simulations to predict product behavior and guide design improvements.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product development, biomechanics, and manufacturing teams to integrate innovations.
- Document findings, generate technical reports, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and FEA tools.
- Hands‑on expertise in prototyping, material testing, and data analysis.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.
- Passion for athletic footwear innovation and understanding of performance requirements.
