Software Engineer
Operate and maintain critical clinical and research infrastructure, ensuring high availability of Linux/Windows systems, virtualization platforms, and monitoring tools while automating tasks with Python scripting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Linux and Windows Server environments supporting oncology, radiation, and research applications.
- Maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure, including provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash) for deployment, configuration management, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor system health using tools such as Nagios and Splunk, respond to alerts, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with clinical and research teams to implement system upgrades, security patches, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in systems administration for Linux and Windows Server platforms.
- Proficiency in Python (or comparable scripting language) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere or similar virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and log aggregation tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Zabbix).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work in a 24/7 environment, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
