Data Analyst
Contract Credit Risk Data Analyst responsible for building and maintaining reporting solutions, analyzing risk data, and delivering actionable insights to internal stakeholders and regulators using SQL, Python, and visualization tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting pipelines for credit risk, regulatory, and management information.
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and risk drivers, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate risk metrics effectively.
- Mentor junior analysts and serve as a technical resource for best‑practice data handling and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading in a financial services environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib/seaborn.
- Hands‑on experience building data visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Solid understanding of credit risk concepts, regulatory frameworks, and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
