Data Analyst
Analyze loan portfolio data, calculate monthly allowance for credit losses, and prepare board‑level credit reports using SQL, Excel, and credit risk modeling techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the bank’s loan portfolio to identify risk trends, credit quality issues, and performance metrics.
- Calculate the monthly Allowance for Credit Losses, documenting assumptions, methodology, and results for senior management.
- Prepare comprehensive credit department reports for Board of Directors meetings, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Support the Chief Credit Officer in monitoring portfolio health, setting credit limits, and evaluating new lending proposals.
- Develop and maintain data extracts, dashboards, and visualizations to facilitate timely decision‑making.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience with credit risk analysis, loan portfolio monitoring, and allowance calculations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for preparing reports and presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field; relevant certifications a plus.
