QA Engineer
Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf applications across enterprise and cloud environments, enhancing automation and reliability for a national laboratory’s Nuclear Security Enterprise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain COTS applications across multiple production environments.
- Develop and refine automation scripts to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes.
- Collaborate with system engineers to integrate COTS solutions into cloud and on‑premise architectures.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, providing root‑cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Research emerging technologies to recommend improvements to existing automation frameworks.
Requirements
- Proven experience with COTS application deployment and configuration management.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related automation tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities in complex, mission‑critical environments.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
