About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for all phases of the copper mine project, ensuring alignment with project scope and timelines.
- Lead commercial analysis and bid preparation, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to deliver competitive and profitable proposals.
- Monitor project costs, track variances, and implement corrective actions to keep the project within budget.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to cost, schedule, and scope.
- Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and financial summaries to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or similar role in mining or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and cost management software.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of project finance principles and commercial contracting in the mining sector.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
