Core Engineer I responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining fiber optic networks and SDN solutions, leveraging Python and Linux to automate operations and ensure high‑availability service delivery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and troubleshoot fiber optic infrastructure for enterprise customers.
- Configure and manage SDN controllers and network devices to optimize traffic flow.
- Develop Python scripts to automate network provisioning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new services and upgrade existing deployments.
- Document network designs, configurations, and change management procedures.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in fiber optic or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SDN concepts and experience with OpenFlow or similar protocols.
- Proficiency in Python and Linux shell scripting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
