Lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing and material handling processes, applying controls systems expertise and lean principles to enhance efficiency and product quality.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine manufacturing and material handling processes for assigned production areas.
- Analyze product and machinery designs to determine optimal manufacturing methods and material flow.
- Provide technical support to plant operations, collaborating with design, product, and manufacturing engineering teams.
- Lead engineering support groups and coordinate with vendors to ensure process excellence.
- Monitor and evaluate process and equipment expenditures, recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Test and implement advanced process technologies, applying lean principles to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, with experience in controls systems and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in process simulation and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with experience leading cross-functional engineering groups.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and evaluate technical solutions.
