Software Engineer
Controls Engineer responsible for troubleshooting, project management, and maintenance of building management and electrical power monitoring systems in large‑scale data centers, leveraging PLC programming and power distribution expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) across multiple data center sites.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in generators, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, VFDs, and transfer switches.
- Develop and document new control processes, standards, and operating procedures to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Lead small‑scale projects, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to implement upgrades, retrofits, and system integrations.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports on power usage, system performance, and fault trends.
Requirements
- Experience with BMS/EPMS platforms, PLC programming (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA/HMI tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, and variable frequency drives.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex control systems and implement corrective actions.
- Project management experience, including planning, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications a plus.
