Software Engineer
Controls Engineer responsible for troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining BMS and EPMS in AWS data centers, driving process innovation and standards across generators, UPS, switchgear, and chillers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues in Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) across multiple data center sites.
- Lead project initiatives to upgrade or replace generators, UPS, diesel generators, and power distribution equipment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement new controls processes and standards.
- Monitor performance of variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, and chillers to ensure optimal operation.
- Document troubleshooting steps, create knowledge base articles, and provide training to on‑site staff.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in controls engineering within a data center or industrial environment.
- Hands‑on knowledge of UPS, diesel generators, switchgear, and power distribution units.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
