Controls and Governance Consultant – Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controls and Governance Consultant with 8–10 years of experience in banking, financial services, cards, or payment products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring governance, compliance, operational controls, and documentation integrity across card business functions. The role involves reviewing contracts, partner/vendor reports, SOPs, customer communications, and marketing collateral to ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and organizational standards.
The candidate will act as the first line of control within the cards business, supporting senior leadership in governance and oversight activities. They will work closely with product, operations, telesales, compliance, and external partners to identify gaps, drive corrective actions, and ensure adherence to established processes and controls. Strong stakeholder management, contract review, documentation management, audit/compliance experience, and excellent communication skills are essential.
