Software Engineer
Experienced Control Systems Specialist responsible for PLC/HMI programming, creating flowcharts and control narratives, and producing detailed O&M manuals to support factory floor and field service testing and commissioning.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications using established baseline code libraries.
- Create program flowcharts, ladder logic diagrams, and comprehensive control narrative documents.
- Produce detailed Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and as‑built documentation for each system.
- Extract and verify data from project specifications, performing self‑checks to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Provide on‑site support to factory floor and field service teams during factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and commissioning.
- Diagnose and resolve control system issues, collaborating with engineering and maintenance personnel.
Requirements
- Proven experience in PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) and HMI development.
- Strong knowledge of ladder logic, function block, and structured text programming languages.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation, including control narratives and O&M manuals.
- Hands‑on troubleshooting skills in an industrial automation environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with cross‑functional teams and field service personnel.
