Control Systems Integration Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and testing advanced control solutions for high‑performance maritime vessels using PLC, SCADA, MATLAB, and embedded C++ on real‑time platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate control algorithms for marine propulsion and auxiliary systems using PLC and embedded C++.
- Configure and program SCADA interfaces to monitor and log vessel performance data.
- Develop and validate MATLAB/Simulink models for system dynamics and control strategy optimization.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to interface sensors, actuators, and power electronics.
- Perform real‑time testing, fault analysis, and performance tuning on live vessels and simulators.
- Document design specifications, test procedures, and maintenance guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering for marine or similar high‑reliability environments.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley) and SCADA configuration.
- Strong programming skills in Python and embedded C++ for real‑time applications.
- Hands‑on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and real‑time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, QNX).
