Consulting Systems Engineer who designs, optimizes, and modernizes compute, storage, and security solutions for tribal nation clients, leveraging hybrid‑cloud, automation (Ansible, Terraform) and strong consultative selling abilities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise‑grade compute and storage architectures across on‑premises, converged/hyper‑converged, and hybrid‑cloud environments.
- Integrate security controls—including data protection, zero‑trust, encryption, and compliance frameworks—into infrastructure recommendations.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using Ansible and Terraform to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Engage tribal nation stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value and guiding adoption of modern IT practices.
- Provide consultative selling support, preparing presentations, proofs‑of‑concept, and solution proposals that align with client goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and modernizing compute/storage solutions for large enterprises or government entities.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid‑cloud platforms and the ability to evaluate on‑premises vs. cloud trade‑offs.
- Hands‑on expertise with security technologies such as data protection, zero‑trust architectures, and encryption standards.
- Professional‑level proficiency with automation tools, specifically Ansible and Terraform.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing both technical and non‑technical audiences.
