Software Engineer
Consultant, Fraud Analytics – design and execute advanced statistical and machine learning models to detect, monitor, and prevent fraud across banking products, leveraging Python, SQL, and data mining techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement moderately complex statistical analyses and predictive models to identify fraud patterns across transaction data.
- Develop and maintain fraud detection dashboards and reporting tools using Python and SQL.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate fraud insights into product and risk management workflows.
- Validate model performance, conduct root‑cause analysis, and iterate solutions to improve detection accuracy.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, and data mining libraries (pandas, scikit‑learn).
- Proven ability to build and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection.
- Solid understanding of statistical techniques and anomaly detection.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.
