Construction Surveillance Engineering Technician responsible for monitoring construction activities, ensuring compliance with federal and industry standards, and coordinating with project teams at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and project schedules.
- Document and report construction progress, deviations, and corrective actions to the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and federal agencies to resolve technical issues and maintain project integrity.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection logs, quality control reports, and safety documentation.
- Assist in the review of construction drawings, specifications, and change orders to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction surveillance or site inspection within federal or large‑scale industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and construction quality control practices.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to travel to Cape Canaveral and work flexible hours as project demands require.
