Computer Vision Intern - Safe Human Detection - Synapticon GmbH

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and fine‑tune YOLO models for real‑time human detection in safety-critical environments.
• Process and annotate large image/video datasets using OpenCV and custom annotation tools.
• Implement data augmentation, preprocessing, and post‑processing pipelines to improve model robustness.
• Evaluate model performance with precision/recall metrics and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate detection models into end‑to‑end safety systems.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with OpenCV.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, especially TensorFlow, and object detection architectures like YOLO.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and evaluation metrics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
