Computer Vision Engineer, FPGA - Lucid Vision Labs, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize computer‑vision algorithms for real‑time execution on FPGA hardware.
• Write synthesizable VHDL/Verilog code and integrate it with C++/Python host software.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to define data pipelines, memory architectures, and I/O interfaces.
• Validate algorithm performance using test benches, hardware‑in‑the‑loop simulations, and on‑camera prototypes.
• Maintain documentation, version control, and coding standards for all FPGA and software assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong experience with FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog) and hardware‑accelerated image processing.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python, with hands‑on use of OpenCV or similar vision libraries.
• Understanding of camera interfaces (GigE Vision, USB3 Vision) and real‑time data throughput constraints.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, production‑grade solutions.
