About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic using SIEM platforms to identify suspicious activity and potential breaches.
- Configure, tune, and maintain IDS/IPS and firewall solutions to enforce security policies.
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response investigations, documenting findings and recommending remediation steps.
- Develop and automate detection scripts and playbooks using Python to improve response efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and network protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and data analysis.
- Knowledge of firewall configuration and security best practices.
- Experience in threat hunting, incident response, and security monitoring.
