Software Engineer
Provide Level 1‑2 support for enterprise network and system environments, handling troubleshooting, configuration, and security tasks using Windows, Linux, firewalls, VPNs and remote monitoring tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remote first‑line and second‑line support for network and server incidents across medium to large enterprise clients.
- Configure, monitor and maintain firewalls, VPN concentrators, switches and routers to ensure secure connectivity.
- Perform Windows Server and Linux administration, including patching, user account management and service health checks.
- Manage Active Directory objects, group policies and authentication services.
- Utilise remote monitoring and ticketing platforms to track issues, document resolutions and meet SLA targets.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement security hardening, backup strategies and infrastructure upgrades.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in network and system support (Level 1/2).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019) and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) administration.
- Experience managing firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) and implementing security policies.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote support environment.
