Computer AI Engineer - Howmet Aerospace

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases that enhance design, manufacturing, and quality processes.
• Design, develop, and train machine‑learning and deep‑learning models (e.g., computer‑vision, predictive analytics) using Python and relevant frameworks.
• Integrate AI models into production workflows and cloud platforms (AWS), ensuring scalability, reliability, and real‑time inference.
• Perform data acquisition, cleaning, and feature engineering from sensor data, CAD files, and manufacturing logs.
• Validate model performance, conduct root‑cause analysis, and iterate improvements to meet aerospace quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with strong AI/ML focus.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
• Experience building and deploying models for computer vision or predictive maintenance in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) for model hosting, data pipelines, and containerization.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work with large, complex datasets, and excellent communication with non‑technical stakeholders.
