Lead compliance engineering for mobile elevating work platforms, ensuring products meet global safety regulations, ISO standards, and internal quality goals while guiding cross‑functional teams through risk assessment and certification processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain compliance strategies for MEWP product lines across all target markets.
- Lead risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety testing to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, EN 280, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements early in the product development cycle.
- Manage certification processes, liaise with regulatory bodies, and maintain up‑to‑date documentation for global market approvals.
- Mentor and supervise a team of compliance engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CEng, PMP) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product compliance, safety engineering, or regulatory affairs within the construction equipment or MEWP industry.
- Strong knowledge of international safety standards (EN, OSHA, ISO) and experience managing certification projects.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
