Systems Engineer
Design and develop next‑generation software‑defined radios, satellite and lunar communication systems, handling simulation, implementation, integration and testing of advanced RF solutions for defense and aerospace missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and model RF front‑ends, transceivers, and antenna subsystems for satellite and lunar communication links.
- Develop, simulate, and validate software‑defined radio architectures using MATLAB, Python, and C/C++.
- Integrate hardware and firmware components, conduct system‑level testing, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, create test plans, and ensure compliance with aerospace and defense standards.
- Generate technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and program managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience in RF/communications system design.
- Proficiency in SDR development, signal processing algorithms, and satellite link budgeting.
- Strong hands‑on experience with MATLAB, Python, and RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
- Knowledge of space‑qualified hardware, protocols, and standards (e.g., CCSDS, S‑band, X‑band).
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
