Software Engineer
Commissioning Engineer responsible for integrating, testing, and optimizing utility and control systems in advanced technology and data‑center projects, ensuring reliable operation through hands‑on troubleshooting and system performance tuning.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning activities for utility and control systems on capital projects, including power distribution, HVAC, and fire‑suppression systems.
- Integrate design documents, construction work, and control logic to verify system functionality and performance.
- Perform functional testing, loop checks, and performance verification of PLC, SCADA, and HMI platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex control and electrical issues on‑site, providing rapid root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers—to ensure seamless handover to operations.
- Document test results, generate commissioning reports, and recommend optimizations to improve reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- 3+ years of hands‑on commissioning experience with PLC, SCADA/HMI, and utility systems in data‑center or high‑tech environments.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently and within a team, and excellent communication for client interaction.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, ISA‑95) or safety training preferred.
