Systems Engineer
Lead the design, troubleshooting, and modernization of submarine and ship combat, weapons, and platform systems, ensuring seamless integration of sonar, radar, EW, and navigation interfaces for emerging Navy capabilities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues across non‑propulsion submarine and ship systems, including combat, weapons, launchers, sonar, radar, periscopes, EW, and navigation interfaces.
- Recommend and implement solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Design and evaluate modernization and capability expansion projects to meet evolving Navy requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies and ensure system interoperability.
- Provide technical guidance and support to on‑site platforms and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in combat, weapons, and platform systems engineering for submarines and surface vessels.
- Proficiency with sonar, radar, EW, and navigation system interfaces.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on system integration.
- Ability to design and assess modernization initiatives for emerging Navy needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a technical environment.
