Cloud Systems Engineer - Shield Consulting Solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements and derived requirements aligned with DoDAF and Service‑oriented Architecture standards.
• Design, implement, and sustain cloud‑based production systems that meet security and performance criteria for DoD programs.
• Produce and update systems engineering documentation, including architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and verification plans.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware, software, and network components while ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Perform risk assessments, traceability analysis, and configuration management throughout the system lifecycle.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and ability to maintain it throughout employment.
• Minimum 20 years of experience as a System Engineer, or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus 5 additional years of relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in DoDAF, Service‑oriented Architecture, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong background in requirements management, risk analysis, and systems documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with defense stakeholders and technical teams.
