About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 technical support for Akamai’s cloud‑based Web Performance, Media, Security and Compute services during night shifts.
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents involving networking, CDN, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal impact on global customers.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer success teams to investigate root causes and implement permanent fixes.
- Document troubleshooting steps, create knowledge base articles, and share best practices with the support community.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, and post‑mortem reviews to continuously improve service reliability.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems and command‑line troubleshooting.
- Proficient in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, CDN) and cloud platforms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in a technical support or operations role in a cloud or CDN environment is a plus.
