Lead the design and deployment of scalable, secure AWS cloud solutions for life‑science data platforms, driving automation, performance, and compliance across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end AWS infrastructure for large‑scale genomics and diagnostics workloads, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain IaC pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK, automating provisioning and configuration across multiple environments.
- Design and enforce security best practices, including IAM, VPC, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with data scientists, DevOps, and product teams to integrate AI/ML pipelines, containerized workloads, and data lakes.
- Implement CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CodePipeline, ensuring rapid, reliable delivery of infrastructure changes.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize resource utilization using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating AWS solutions in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and cost‑management practices in the cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
