- Design, harden, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting the DME MVP solution.
- Build a self-service data infrastructure platform to accelerate engineering and data workflows.
- Engineer cross-cloud data interoperability across AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud.
- Develop secure, fully automated Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling automated testing, security scanning, and continuous delivery.
- Lead creation of MVP service catalog and API gateway with integrated access controls.
- Manage cloud networking, IAM, encryption, identity federation, and segmentation aligned to DoD requirements.
- Optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost across multiple platforms.
- Ensure compliance with DoD STIGs, Zero Trust principles, CSF, and related cybersecurity frameworks.
- Produce high-quality documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and knowledge-sharing materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience (approx. 5+ years in cloud engineering).
- Must possess and maintain required DoD 8140 certifications.
- Understanding of cross-cloud data patterns and architectures (AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP).
- Deep hands-on AWS experience across compute, storage, networking, IAM, KMS, VPC, and monitoring services.
- Strong command of AWS IAM roles, policies, and security best practices.
- Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
- Working knowledge of Zero Trust architectures, DoD STIGs, secure API patterns, and boundary protections.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty).
- Experience implementing data fabric or data mesh architectures across multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS) and secure container build pipelines.
- Background in DoD-compliant logging, monitoring, and observability solutions (e.g., Elastic, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk).
