Devops Engineer
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable API ecosystems on Google Cloud using Apigee and API Marketplace, while applying FinOps best practices and automation through Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure API proxies, security policies, and traffic management rules on Apigee.
- Develop and publish API specifications using OpenAPI and gRPC, ensuring versioning and discoverability in the API Marketplace.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions) to automate API deployment, testing, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with backend and consumer teams to guarantee high‑availability, low‑latency integrations across the API lifecycle.
- Apply FinOps principles to optimize cloud spend, monitor usage, and generate cost‑efficiency reports.
- Maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, managing environments, permissions, and networking resources.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically Apigee and API Marketplace services.
- Proficiency in designing, securing, and scaling APIs using OpenAPI, gRPC, and related standards.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools for automated deployment and infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of cloud cost management, monitoring, and FinOps practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
