Software Engineer
Provide proactive operational support for federal cloud endpoints, troubleshooting incidents, automating tasks, and ensuring security and performance across AWS and Azure environments using Linux and Python.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents affecting cloud‑based endpoints for DoD and other federal agencies.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python) to streamline routine operational tasks and improve service reliability.
- Implement and manage cloud monitoring solutions, dashboards, and alerts in AWS and Azure.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and data operations teams to enforce security policies and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Document incident response procedures, configuration changes, and knowledge‑base articles for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience supporting production cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
- Strong Linux system administration skills and proficiency in Python scripting.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor), and incident management processes.
- Understanding of federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, DISA STIG) and ability to apply them in a cloud context.
- Excellent problem‑solving communication skills and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.
