Data Engineer
Lead the design and deployment of a scalable, production‑ready SAP Datasphere environment, integrating SAP and non‑SAP data sources into a modern data fabric architecture using cloud technologies and robust governance practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement a scalable SAP Datasphere solution that supports production workloads across multiple regions.
- Design data integration pipelines from SAP and non‑SAP systems, ensuring high quality, consistency, and performance.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, including metadata management, lineage, and security controls.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data models and deliver actionable insights.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, capacity, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building enterprise data platforms, preferably with SAP Datasphere or SAP HANA.
- Strong background in data integration, ETL, and data modeling using SQL and cloud services.
- Hands‑on experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployment is a plus.
