Data Engineer
Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud data solutions using Azure, focusing on data lakes, warehouses, SQL development, and robust data modeling to support analytics and business intelligence.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines on Azure, integrating source systems into data lakes and data warehouses.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Automate ETL processes using Python or Azure Data Factory, ensuring reliable data ingestion and transformation.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance of cloud data platforms, implementing best practices for security and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience designing and managing data architectures in cloud environments, preferably Azure.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling concepts.
- Practical knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Python).
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts to cross‑functional teams.
