Cloud Architect
Design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions for USPACOM J6, leveraging AWS, Azure, and GCP while driving automation, interoperability, and mission‑critical modernization across the Pacific theater.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support USPACOM J6 mission requirements.
- Design secure, resilient infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Implement container orchestration and micro‑services strategies with Kubernetes and related DevOps pipelines.
- Collaborate with mission partners to ensure interoperability, compliance, and optimal performance of cloud‑based services.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating enterprise‑scale cloud solutions, preferably in a defense or government context.
- Deep expertise with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform services, including networking, security, and identity management.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates) and CI/CD automation.
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern DevOps practices.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional, multi‑agency teams.
