About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing operation of Command & Control (C2) software applications for the Air Operations Center Weapons System.
- Develop and execute cloud computing strategies, selecting appropriate services on AWS and Azure to meet performance, security, and availability requirements.
- Architect, provision, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform, ensuring repeatable and auditable deployments.
- Containerize applications and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes, implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and release.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate software components into a cohesive, mission‑ready system, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating cloud solutions in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Hands‑on experience with Linux system administration and networking concepts.
- Proven ability to translate high‑level technical specifications into scalable, secure cloud architectures.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with a focus on mission‑critical applications.
