Lead the design, maintenance, and enhancement of a climate litigation database, ensuring accurate, secure, and accessible data for legal research and policy analysis using SQL, data modeling, and analytical tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust climate litigation database, ensuring data integrity and compliance with institutional standards.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and reporting tools to support research, case tracking, and policy analysis.
- Collaborate with legal scholars, researchers, and IT staff to define data requirements, capture new litigation events, and update metadata.
- Perform data quality checks, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets.
- Document database architecture, processes, and best practices for future maintenance and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex legal information into structured data.
- Familiarity with climate law, environmental litigation, or related policy areas is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and documentation.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a temporary, project‑focused environment.
