Systems Engineer

About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute reliability‑centered maintenance and test plans for advanced research systems.
- Analyze failure data, perform root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to improve system availability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams to integrate reliability requirements into hardware and software designs.
- Create and maintain reliability models, predictive analytics, and documentation using tools such as MATLAB and Python.
- Support system qualification, certification, and continuous improvement activities in a secure environment.
Requirements
- Active U.S. security clearance (DOE‑type or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in reliability or systems engineering for complex hardware/software platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
- Strong knowledge of reliability methodologies (FMEA, Weibull analysis, MTBF calculations).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary research setting.
