Software Engineer
Lead multidisciplinary engineering design and construction support for Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization projects at Dyess AFB, leveraging MILCON expertise and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑quality infrastructure upgrades.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review engineering designs for civil, mechanical, and electrical systems in MILCON facilities.
- Coordinate with government engineers, construction managers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with DoD standards and project specifications.
- Lead technical reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and schedule.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Support construction activities through field inspections, quality control, and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of MILCON experience on large‑scale facilities projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools and construction documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Valid professional engineering license preferred.
