About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of railway drainage systems, including tracked earthworks, culverts, soakaways, and embankment stabilisation.
- Collaborate with contractors, railway operators, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise project outcomes.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and option‑eering to recommend best solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in railway drainage or similar civil works projects.
- Strong design, drafting, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel between Slough, Basingstoke, and remote sites.
