The Chief Specialist – Artificial Intelligence and Data Science will lead the implementation and management of AI strategies for the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai. Key Responsibilities

Implement and manage the AI Strategy aligned with RTA’s Digital Vision
Lead design, testing, and deployment of AI solutions including machine learning, NLP, computer vision, and robotics
Develop the AI roadmap, methodology, policies, and standards across departments
Drive AI proof-of-concept development, tendering, vendor management, and project delivery
Foster a culture of AI innovation, experimentation, and capability building across RTA
Conduct global AI research, evaluate tech trends, and optimize executed use cases
Identify and prioritize AI projects across agencies based on organizational needs and impact
Build and mentor a high-performing AI engineering team focused on continuous learning

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 11 years of proven experience leading successful AI projects
Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, generative AI, and neural networks
Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, C++, or R
Hands-on with frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, Caffe, etc.
Experience with structured & unstructured data, KPI development, and agile/scrum methodologies
