About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the operational strategy for the German Sovereign Cloud Services business unit, aligning with Thales’ global vision and local market needs.
- Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of cloud and AI solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and regulatory compliance for public administrations and corporate clients.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with Google Cloud and other technology providers to expand service offerings and accelerate digital transformation.
- Lead cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer‑centricity.
- Drive financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation while maintaining cost efficiency and scalability.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior operations or COO roles within cloud, AI, or cybersecurity domains.
- Deep understanding of German data protection laws (GDPR, BDSG) and public sector procurement processes.
- Proven track record of scaling technology services, managing multi‑disciplinary teams, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in German and English.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for driving digital transformation in regulated environments.
