Software Engineer
Lead the Completions Engineering function, driving aircraft integration, certification and manufacturing excellence using systems engineering, Lean practices, and advanced CAD/FEA tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the end‑to‑end completions engineering process for new and modified aircraft, ensuring design integrity and on‑time delivery.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Develop and validate detailed CAD models (CATIA) and perform Finite Element Analysis to certify structural and system performance.
- Manage regulatory compliance activities, preparing documentation for Transport Canada, FAA and other authorities.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets and risk mitigation plans, reporting progress to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field with 10+ years of experience in aircraft completions or systems integration.
- Proven expertise in systems engineering, project management and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Advanced proficiency with CAD tools (CATIA) and FEA software for structural analysis.
- Strong knowledge of aviation certification standards and regulatory processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
