QA Engineer
Lead test engineering for undersea warfare systems, designing and executing T&E plans, analyzing data, and driving improvements using Python, MATLAB, and automated test frameworks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive Test & Evaluation (T&E) plans for undersea warfare platforms, ensuring compliance with Navy specifications.
- Design, build, and maintain test rigs and instrumentation, integrating Python and MATLAB scripts for data acquisition and analysis.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to translate requirements into testable scenarios and validate performance against mission objectives.
- Lead root‑cause analysis of test failures, recommend corrective actions, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage test schedules, and report progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of test engineering experience in defense or complex systems environments.
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of undersea warfare concepts and Navy test standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, mission‑driven setting.
