Business Systems Engineer II responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data‑driven workflows and cloud‑based tools, leveraging Python, SQL, and AWS to support launch operations and spacecraft development.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated data pipelines that integrate telemetry, manufacturing, and launch‑site systems.
- Develop and support cloud‑based tools and services on AWS to enable real‑time analytics for mission planning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for operations and senior leadership.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives using scripting and automation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or business systems development within a high‑tech environment.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to model complex workflows and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
