Software Engineer
Seeking a Business Systems Developer to drive digital transformation in an engineering firm by analysing processes, building automated workflows, integrating systems, and delivering business intelligence solutions using Python, SQL, Azure and Power BI.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse current business processes and identify opportunities for automation and data‑driven improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions between ERP, CRM, and specialised engineering systems using APIs and Azure services.
- Create automated workflows and scripts (Python, PowerShell) to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions align with strategic goals and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing business systems solutions, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python and solid SQL query writing ability.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services, API design/integration, and automation tools.
- Expertise in Power BI or similar BI platforms for data visualisation.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders.
