Business Systems Analyst responsible for translating renewable‑energy project needs into technical solutions, building data models, creating dashboards, and supporting decision‑making using SQL, Power BI and Agile practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and EPC partners to gather and document business requirements for solar‑farm construction initiatives.
- Design, develop and maintain relational databases and data pipelines using SQL to ensure accurate, timely information flow.
- Create interactive visualisations and reports in Power BI that support cost tracking, schedule performance and risk management.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, maintain product backlogs, and work closely with development teams to deliver incremental system enhancements.
- Analyse operational data to identify process improvements, support decision‑making and drive efficiency across site execution activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably in construction, infrastructure or renewable energy.
- Strong SQL proficiency and hands‑on experience building data models and queries.
- Expertise in Power BI (or comparable BI tools) for dashboard creation and data storytelling.
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
