Business Systems Analyst role driving end‑to‑end delivery of document communication solutions on the SmartCOMM platform, translating complex business needs into clear, implementable technical designs.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and operations to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements for the Document Management Platform.
- Design and document functional specifications, user stories, and process flows that align with John Hancock’s communication strategy.
- Configure and customize SmartCOMM templates and workflows to ensure accurate, timely, and user‑friendly customer communications.
- Conduct data analysis and validation using SQL to support reporting, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog grooming to keep delivery on schedule and within scope.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis within a document management or communications environment.
- Proficiency with SmartCOMM or similar document composition platforms and strong understanding of document lifecycle management.
- Hands‑on experience writing SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work in Agile teams, translating business needs into actionable technical tasks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with a track record of delivering clear, implementable solutions.
