Software Engineer
Analyze and improve business processes for a global metal recycling leader, leveraging SQL, data modeling, and ERP expertise within an Agile environment to drive operational efficiency and data‑driven decision making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements from cross‑functional stakeholders across recycling, fabrication, and demolition divisions.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications and data models for ERP and reporting systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries and dashboards to provide actionable insights for operational teams.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams using Agile ceremonies to prioritize backlog items and ensure timely delivery.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, propose solutions, and support change management initiatives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or recycling industries.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
