Design and deliver scalable data engineering and analytics solutions for a large transportation network, using Python, SQL, AWS, and visualization tools to enable performance visibility and automated decision‑making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store transportation performance data at scale.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports to provide real‑time visibility into third‑party (3P) carrier metrics and operational KPIs.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to define analytics requirements and translate them into robust data models.
- Implement automation and monitoring for data quality, pipeline health, and cost‑effective cloud resource usage.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices for coding standards, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence, preferably in logistics or transportation.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (e.g., Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda) and modern data warehousing concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable ETL processes and data models that support high‑volume, low‑latency analytics.
- Experience building visualizations and dashboards with tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, or similar.
